The first Women in Business scholarship (now award) was awarded in 1998 to women pursuing degrees in business leading to a business management career. The program ultimately seeks to influence business decisions that positively affect women by increasing the number of women in executive positions in the field of business management.

The Women in Business Leadership Award program operates at the club ($4,500 award), district ($1,000 award), and international ($5,000) levels of Zonta International. If you are selected by the club, your application is placed in competition at the next level (district) and so forth.
